A New Commandment
To God’s precious children at CLIC,
As we walk through Holy Week, we come to Maundy Thursday, when Jesus sat with His disciples, washed their feet, and gave them a new commandment:
"Love one another as I have loved you.” (John 13:34)
Jesus didn’t just tell us to love, he showed us how - he took the lowliest role of a servant.
Maundy Thursday invites us to reflect deeply:
Who is God calling me to love this way?
Is there someone I need to serve, forgive, or show grace to?
Yes, it is challenging, my dear brothers and sisters....but it is something that we must face up to in the light of God's mercy and grace.
So, as we continue in our journey toward the cross and the empty tomb, let us remember:
Remember, Christ died so that you may truly live. So live—live humbly, and live victoriously in Christ!
For the next few days, let us as His beloved children and redeemed ones
come to the table,
stand at the cross,
and rise again in the power of His love.
In Christ’s love,
Ps Kenny
